Blood Donation Program

The 12th Late Sachin Memorial Blood Donation Program was successfully organized today in Itahari, jointly hosted by the Rotary Club of Itahari, Rotary Club of Itahari Yugal, Rotaract Club of Itahari, and Rotaract Club of Sunsari. This year’s blood donation program aimed to support local blood banks, raise public awareness about voluntary blood donation, and honor the legacy of Late Sachin Shrestha. The event drew enthusiastic participation from club members, youths, and the general public.
Medical professionals from Nepal Red Cross Society Morang conducted donor screeningand safe blood collection, ensuring all safety protocols were followed. Volunteers from the participating clubs managed registration, donor assistance, refreshments, and overall coordination throughout the event. A brief memorial session was also held to reflect on Sachin’s contributions to Rotaract and his dedication to humanitarian service under the Chairmanship of President Rtn. Dev Charan Chaudhary where Mr. Jiten Thapa, the ward Chairman of ward-9 of Itahari Sub-Metropolis graced the program as Chief Guest.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all blood donors, the supporting medical team, local media partners, and community volunteers for their valuable contribution to the program’s success. The joint initiative reinforced the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self” and strengthened collaboration among the Rotary and Rotaract clubs involved. The 12th Late Sachin Memorial Blood Donation Program once again served as a meaningful tribute to Late Sachin Shrestha, helping to uphold his spirit of service and compassion within the community.
